Adoption Law

What is Adoption? Adoption is a process whereby a person assumes the parenting of another, usually a child, from that person's biological or legal parent or parents, and, in so doing, permanently transfers all rights and responsibilities, along with filiation, from the biological parent or parents.

Civil Litigation

When two or more parties become embroiled in a legal dispute seeking money or another specific performance rather than criminal sanctions, civil litigation is the result. They must instead head to the courtroom for trial so a judge or jury can decide the matter. A lawyer who specializes in civil litigation is known as a “litigator” or a “trial lawyer.” We represent clients across a broad spectrum of associated proceedings, including pretrial hearings and depositions, as well as arbitration or mediation before administrative agencies or court personnel.

Estate Planning

What is Estate Planning? Estate planning is the act of preparing for the transfer of a person's wealth and assets after his or her death. Assets, life insurance, pensions, real estate, cars, personal belongings, and debts are all part of one's estate. We know you won’t believe it but you have an estate. In fact, nearly everyone does. Your estate is comprised of everything you own— your car, home, other real estate, checking and savings accounts, investments, life insurance, furniture, personal possessions. No matter how large or how modest, everyone has an estate and something in common—you can’t take it with you when you die.

Personal Injury

What is Personal Injury? Personal injury is a legal term for an injury to the body, mind or emotions, as opposed to an injury to property. Typically, personal injury claims are the result of the negligence of another person. Common sources of personal injury claims include, but are not limited to, the following: Automobile accidents, Pedestrian accidents, Defective product claims, Medical malpractice and Slip and fall claims.
